  • Acquisitions and Disposals
    Dealing with the sale and purchase of properties from and to SIPPs and SASSs and advising on the best way to structure these transactions.
  • General Management
    Acting on a variety of transactions including preparing new occupational leases, dealing with lease renewals, deeds of surrender, deeds of variation, licence for alterations, licence to underlet and assign.
  • In-Specie Transfers
    Acting for either the receiving or transferring pension scheme in the in-specie transfer of commercial property investment assets, on the occasion of the change of pension trustee.
  • Loan Backs
    Preparing loan agreements and first legal charges between SSASs and the members to be secured against tangible and intangible items.
  • Joint Purchases

  • Portfolio Transfer
    Transferring and registering portfolios of properties from one pension provider to another.

In Practice

  • Portfolio Transfer 
    Dealing with the transfer of over 1000 properties from one pension provider to another which included dealing with the registration of the same at the Land Registry.
  • Joint Ownership

    Completing a joint purchase between a member tenant and pension scheme which involved both parties borrowing from a high street lender.

  • Mixed Use Properties
    Structuring transactions where a property is part residential to allow the commercial part of the property to be put into the pension scheme. Please see our recent article about this here.
  • Loan Backs 

    Obtaining a first legal charge in favour of a SSAS by entering into deeds of priority with prior lenders where a first legal charge would otherwise not be possible.    

  • Loans by the Scheme Member
    Dealing with loans made to the SIPP/SSAS by the scheme member in their personal capacity in order to cover shortfalls in the purchase price or to cover the VAT payable on a purchase.
